Ecocem Materials Limited (Ecocem), the carbon neutral green cement company is an Irish entrepreneurial company established in 2000. Ecocem produces GGBS cement, which is superior cement with many technical, environmental and architectural advantages (see www.ecocem.ie). Ecocem sells its cement to concrete manufacturers around Ireland some of whom are shown on the map located on the site www.lowcarbonconcrete.ie.

Since commencing production Ecocem has saved nearly 3 million tonnes of CO2 and expects to be saving over 1 million tonnes of CO2 on annual basis going forward. In Ireland, Ecocem's cement is used on all new motorways and prestigious projects such as the Aviva Stadium, The Convention Centre Dublin, The Waterford Cable Stay Bridge. It is also widely used by one off house builders and farmers, as they can enjoy all the advantages that larger projects do without any cost implications.

Ecocem operates from 3 countries. Holland and Ireland are operational since 2002 & 2003 respectively with France coming on stream in September 2009. Concrete made with Ecocem cement is cost neutral.

Mullingar Crystal was set up in late 2006 and in that 3 year period has made quite an impact in the crystal prizes and awards market.
Starting out, the main aim of Mullingar Crystal was and still is, to provide trophies, prizes and awards direct to the end user thereby cutting out the middleman and thus save money for the customer. All sales come through the internet and each piece is tailored/personalized for the customer.
Mullingar Crystal was the first in the sector to offer Free Engraving, no set-up charges and a "price you see is the price you get" policy. This means a customer can put their own logo or crest on their piece at no extra charge.
In early 2008, Mullingar Crystal developed a process called CrystalPrint whereby colour text, logo or even a photograph could be embedded into the crystal. Mullingar Crystal then created CrystalArt which has been described as "where Crystal meets Art". Satellite Broadband Ireland was created by Kevin Ryan and Sean Og Brennan, in a response to the serious lack of availability for a reliable, consistent and cost effective rural broadband solution. Having studied the historical trends and statistical results for rural broadband, Satellite Broadband Ireland looked at the emerging technologies that could service these remote & rural areas with a viable broadband service and found that satellite was one of a few contenders for meeting this problem head on. After spending a considerable amount of time looking at satellite service providers and their product offering across Europe and how our fellow EU partners were dealing with similar rural broadband issues Satellite Broadband Ireland partnered with Europe's leading satellite communications company, Eutelsat.

In April 2009 Minister for Communications Eamon Ryan TD officially launched the partnership of Satellite Broadband Ireland with Eutelsat, the number 1 provider in Europe with 29 satellites in geo-stationary orbit. Satellite Broadband Ireland is now able to deliver a 3.6MB broadband service from €29 a month via Eutelsat's Tooway service anywhere in Ireland. Satellite Broadband Ireland have to date successfully installed the Tooway service in 24 counties across Ireland covering the most rural locations from west cork to the most northerly points of Donegal and are the leading provider of satellite broadband in Ireland.
