Happy Christmas & A Happy and Healthy New Year! On behalf of the LAMA Awards team, we wish you a very Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and all the best for a wonderful 2012! The shortlist will be announced in early January! The Awards take place on the 11th of February, 2012, in the Crown Plaza Hotel, Santry. The delightful Miriam O'Callaghan will take to the stage again this year as our MC. Last year we welcomed delegates, including all LAMA representatives and members of local authorities around the country, medical, insurance, tourism, and environment industry professionals, as well as architects and developers, to the gala evening. Thank You for all your Nominations and Submissions! The response for the LAMA Awards 2012 in association with Irish Public Bodies has been phenomenal, from both Councillors and nominated projects. There has been a substantial increase on last year’s numbers! Thank you to all the Councillors for taking the time to nominate the unique projects in your area! We also extend a thank you to all those projects for taking the time to complete their LAMA Awards submission. It is evident that a lot of effort went into them this year, so thank you for your interest and support, and the very best of luck to you! Councilor Nominations launch September 5, 2011! It is that time of year again! The 2012 LAMA Awards launch on September 5, 2011, at which time we will be seeking nominations! We are excited to continue this prestigious Awards show that recognizes outstanding projects on the local, county, and national levels, and once again seek the help of Councilors nationwide in recognizing innovation and expertise in local communities. All Councilors will be mailed and emailed the 2012 Nomination Form, where they can nominate national and community projects in 21 categories before September 5, 2011! The LAMA Awards acknowledge exceptional individuals, organizations, and now Irish companies as well as tourist attractions, and celebrates accomplishments in the areas of engineering, infrastructure, business, history and culture. As councillor you have the unique opportunity to nominate great projects that have been developed in your area in the past 3 years. The category winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony on February 11th, 2012, which will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dublin, and will once again be hosted by Miriam O’Callaghan.
